Operating in the Technology Business Unit and reporting to the Head of Products Assurance, the Product Assurance Manager (PAM) is part of the growing Quality and Product Assurance group. With responsibility for the product assurance and safety for D-Orbit’s platforms, you will drive the quality of the assigned business line and related projects and services.

During the entire product lifecycle, the PAM will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of product assurance practices and related disciplines (EEE, RAD, M&P, SW, QA, RAMS, SQA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Product Assurance Management and related disciplines through project lifecycle participating to day-by-day activities.

  • Actively contributing to reviews preparing required documentation and reviewing team documentation.

  • Manage as chairman non-conformances (NCR).

  • Perform tailoring and statement of compliance on externally provided project requirements (ECSS)

  • Ensure compliance of products and services to internal and external standards and requirements.

  • Work in synergy with Engineering team providing PA&S guidance.

  • Monitor and manage suppliers’ quality in cooperation with SQA to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; this includes auditing activities.

  • Support the implementation of standards and best practices in the product industrialization field.

  • Support the implementation of the configuration management system on D-Orbit projects.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in institutional or commercial space

  • Previous experience in aviation

  • Experience in leading PA&S topics within complex products

  • Experience working with product industrialization environment.

  • Experience with Space Quality Standards (and Space Standards in general), their implementation and of the space industry in general is considered a plus (EN9100, ECSS) or willingness to learn ECSS standards.

  • Experience working with institutional customers

  • Experience working with electronics PCBA design and manufacturing.

  • Experience working with requirements management tool.

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in managing complex electro-mechanical products assurance activities in multiple complex projects

Required skills:

  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Analytical mindset with proactive attitude and flexible by nature. The role requires a strong attitude to compromise, look for solutions where not immediately available

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities, with resilience to stress

  • Knowledge of any topics within configuration management, quality auditing or certification is considered a plus.

Education:

Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant engineering area.

Language/IT:

  • Full professional proficiency in the English language

  • MS Office proficient

  • Deep knowledge of AI tools

We offer a base salary range of €40,000–€55,000 gross per year for this role, depending on experience and location, plus a performance-based variable component. Final offer may vary based on overall fit and internal equity.
