D-Orbit is seeking a Senior Product Manager – Avionics Systems to join our Technology team.
Operating in the Tech BU and reporting to the Head of R&D Programs, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the delivery - along with the lifecycle management - of D-Orbit’s avionics products, ensuring successful industrialization, adherence to cost & quality targets, and optimization throughout the entire product lifecycle. Working along with the Head of Technology this role will help define product strategy, oversee execution, and guarantee that performance, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

Product Delivery, Strategy & Roadmap

Deliver the Avionics products on time, on budget and in quality

Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for avionics systems.

Align product development with company objectives and customer requirements.

Identify and mitigate risks related to product development and deployment.

Industrialization & Lifecycle Management

Drive the industrialization of avionics products, including the definition of production testing equipment.

Manage the full product lifecycle, including upgrades, obsolescence planning, and end-of-life strategies.

Cost & Budget Management

Define cost targets and ensure achievement through design-to-cost and supplier nominations.

Monitor and control overall product cost and development budget (including cash in/out).

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure product compliance and performance.

Act as the primary interface between teams and stakeholders.

Eventually coordinate PM resources delegating tasks while maintaining accountability of the outcome.

Requirements:

Proven experience in Product development, industrialization and product lifecycle management.

Proven experience in cost & budget management and design-for-excellence methodologies.

Understanding of avionics systems, aerospace &/or complex electromechanical products is a plus.

Excellent organizational and planning abilities.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.

• Leadership skills to influence and align diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing complex hardware/software integrated products.

• Track record of delivering products in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.

• Previous involvement in cross-functional teams and supplier negotiations.
