D-Orbit is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to the Operational Excellence area which provide specific expertise to the Business Units. Within this team, you will drive the quality of the supply chain across the Business Units ensuring the compliance of delivered materials, components and documentation according to the applicable standards. You will report to the Head of Product & Quality Assurance.
The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of processes and activities to assure the required quality level of the supply chain. You will also contribute to the definition of KPI related to supplier quality domain. Additionally, you will assist in developing and maintaining quality assurance processes to enhance the reliability and consistency of our supply chain, contributing to the success of our space missions.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
• Monitor Supplier performance to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform surveillance audits of suppliers.
• Support qualification activities of new suppliers.
• Perform periodic reviews of supplier performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Manage Non-Conformities and requests for deviation/waiver.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure the proper flow-down of requirements throughout the supply chain.
• Monitor and report about supplier quality to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; this includes auditing activities.
• Support the establishment and the implementation of standards and best practices in the product and quality assurance field.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the supplier quality domain.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
• Experience working on production processes in the Space or aeronautic industry or alternative high-tech and complex industries.
• Knowledge and field experience of production processes (e.g. electronic board assembly, PCB manufacturing, sub-system production, 3D printing, machining, composites, etc.).
• Experience with EN 9100 standard.
• Auditor (part I and II) according to UNI EN 9100 certified.
• Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as electronic, aerospace or mechanical/materials engineering.
Skills:
• Ability to set audit plan plans and their execution.
• Proven diplomatic ability developed through relationships with suppliers and/or certification authorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive attitude.
• Open to travel (about 20%).
• Capability of working in autonomy as well as in team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Full professional proficiency in the English language and fluency in Italian are mandatory.
